Subject:  Fuel Related Surcharge Increase – Hawaii / Guam / Micronesia

Dear Matson Customer,

As a result of a sudden and significant rise in marine fuel prices that can be expected to sustain while global oil supply constraints in the Middle East remain, Matson will be raising its Fuel Related Surcharge (FRSC). It is important to note that Matson sources the vast majority of its fuel in the U.S., and at this time we do not anticipate any supply problems impacting our operations.

Effective Sunday, April 12, 2026, the FRSC for our Hawaii service will increase from 16.5% to 20.5%; for Guam/CNMI service, it will increase from 17.5% to 21.5%; and for Micronesia service, it will increase from 19.5% to 23.5%.

For customers who have not yet transitioned to our new tariff structure implemented last year, the surcharge for Hawaii service will increase from 38.0% to 42.4%; for Guam/CNMI service, it will increase from 39.1% to 43.5%; and for Micronesia service, it will increase from 41.3% to 45.7%.

Even with this unexpected price surge, Matson is continuing its longstanding practice of giving its customers 30 days’ notice for upward rate adjustments but passing along decreases as soon as possible. As always, we will continue to closely monitor trends in fuel costs and adjust the surcharge accordingly.

Thank you for shipping with Matson.

Dear Valued Customer:

Pasha Hawaii will increase its Fuel Adjustment Factor in the Hawaii trade by 4 percentage points, from 16.5% to 20.5%, effective Sunday, April 12, 2026. The increase will be published in the Pasha Hawaii tariff of STB PHHD No. 006, which governs the movement of container cargo between the mainland U.S. and Hawaii.

The disruption in production and transportation of Middle East energy products is generating global downstream impacts for fuel products, including marine vessel fuels. The rapid rise in fuel costs is having immediate impact on cost of operations, yet Pasha Hawaii is continuing to provide 30-day notice of increase on surcharges.

We will continue to monitor market conditions and provide updates as needed.

Thank you for choosing Pasha Hawaii.
